It’s tomorrow! On Tuesday, October 27, from 9 am to 6:45 pm, the Hall des Sports in Saint-Joseph hosts the big day of the Festival de l’Image Animée de la Caraïbe (Caribbean Animated Image Festival). Animated film, video games, virtual reality: FAIA Martinique (the federation of Martinique’s animation professionals) and the town of Saint-Joseph have put together a programme that makes you want to stay from morning to night. Six sessions with professionals, tournaments, exhibitors, game creation, traditional games, an awards ceremony… and it’s open to the public. Congratulations to the teams, we’ll be there!

All day, 9 am to 6:45 pm

The hall runs non-stop:

  • exhibitors to meet;
  • video game creation;
  • traditional games;
  • two Nomad’ LAN tournaments, run by Lan.est.party, Martinique’s gaming and esports community: a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament and a FIFA 26 tournament. Sign up, play and win prizes!

10 am: generative AI, opportunity or disruption?

The day opens with THE question of the moment: “Generative AI: a creative opportunity or an industrial disruption for Caribbean creators?”. Three entrepreneurs from the islands take it on:

  • Kimberley Demagny, founder of ArTech Education (Guadeloupe);
  • Nicolas Hauterville, founder of 360fwi (Martinique);
  • Gary Bissol, founder of BYSS GROUP (Martinique).

11 am: communities serving talent

“French Tech Martinique, Hubmonster and Oliwon Design: communities serving the territory and its talent”. A panel close to our hearts, since we believe Caribbean talent is stronger together:

  • Marwane Bejgane, president of French Tech Martinique;
  • Xavier Simacourbe, president of Hubmonster;
  • Maïna Albert, co-founder and co-president of Oliwon Design.

3 pm: “The Chicken and the Easter Egg”

Behind this playful title, Georges-Emmanuel Arnaud, art director at Anisotropie and founder of Cariality Studio (Martinique), promises an hour of behind-the-scenes stories and surprises.

4 pm: Martinique and the Caribbean in the global games industry

Guillaume Brunier, animation and video game producer at Ubisoft, based in Martinique, presents “The strengths of Martinique and the Caribbean in the global video game industry”. A major international studio’s view of our islands: not to be missed.

5:30 pm: the Game Jam 2026 awards
