Martinique in the spotlight at Montréal's Cinemania festival

For its 32nd edition, from November 4 to 15, 2026, Montréal’s Cinemania festival honours two territories: French-speaking Belgium and Martinique.
A showcase in North America
Cinemania is Montréal’s major French-language film event. This year the festival announces 138 feature films, documentaries and short films, 16 series and 173 international guests. Screenings take place at the Monument-National and in several downtown cinemas: Cineplex Quartier Latin, Cinéma du Parc, Cinéma du Musée and the Cinémathèque québécoise.
Two new additions this year: Francophone Series Days, from November 2, and a first cine-concert.
Why it matters
Being a featured territory at a festival of this size is a rare chance to show Martinican films, and the crews who make them, to North American programmers, distributors and producers.
